Voss is one of Norway’s most traditional winter sports destinations. Since 1914 Voss has been host and arranger of the Norwegian Championships and many other major skiing events in Nordic disciplines, Alpine and Freestyle. The World’s elite Alpine skiers has gathered in Voss no less than four times since 1970 for World Cup races. In recent years, the Alpine Junior World Championships and the World Cup finals of Freestyle Moguls events. FIS Alpine and World Cup Freestyle events are scheduled for this winter. Expert organisers and first class skiing facilities have made all this possible. This has also created a long line of winter sports world and olympic champions. No other winter sports destination anywhere in the world has nurtured more participants in the Olympic games!
